Twenty One Pilots: “Christmas Saves the Year” chiude il 2020
Dopo una diretta su Twitch, la band ha riservato un personale Merry Christmas ai propri supporter su tutte le piattaforme digitali

Ci hanno pensato i Twenty One Pilots a riaccendere il mercoledì con il gioioso jingle Christmas Saves the Year. Il motivetto è stato registrato nello studio di casa del cantante Tyler Joseph, e mescola l’allegria delle vacanze con qualche considerazione su quanto sia stato un anno difficile. Una prova musicale che tenta di scrivere la parola fine al 2020 senza il sangue troppo amaro.
«Snow falls down from the gray sky/ Ashes fall from the sea/ Plans are thrown to the wayside/ Frozen days of the week» attacca Joseph. Arriva poi il coro, anche se, tecnicamente, va contro le raccomandazioni sanitarie sul distanziamento adottate per sopravvivere al picco del COVID-19. Indubbiamente però il singolo diffonde la giusta dose di amore natalizio e riscalda i cuori con un edificante messaggio targato Twenty One Pilots.

«But everybody wants to make it home this year/ Even if the world is crumblin’ down/ ‘Cause everybody’s got somebody who’s got their name on a shelf/ With cheap decor and flavored cheer/ You rest assured that Christmas saves the year» prosegue Joseph. La canzone della band è uscita subito dopo lo streaming natalizio dei Twenty One Pilots su Twitch tenutosi martedì, a beneficio della Make-A-Wish Foundation.
