Grammy Awards 2020: Billie Eilish entra nella storia con 4 premi

L’ultima volta era successo 39 anni fa. Christofer Cross aveva portato a casa i quattro premi più importanti dei Grammy Awards. Ieri, durante la 62esima cerimonia di premiazione dei Grammy allo Staple Center di Los Angeles è toccato per la prima volta nella storia a una donna, già nominata donna dell’anno per Billboard America: Billie Eilish.

Billie, 18 anni compiuti a dicembre, di Los Angeles, ha infatti vinto: Album Of The Year, Best New Artist e Record Of The Year con Bad Guy e Song Of The Year. Un successo clamoroso ma non già scritto perché si pensava che a vincere sarebbero state almeno in due, lei con 6 nomination e Lizzo che ne aveva ben 8. Lizzo invece ha vinto la Best Traditional R&B Performance per Jarome, il Best Urban Contemporary album per Cuz I Love You e Best Pop Solo Performance.

Un successo velato dall’enorme tristezza per la morte di Kobe Bryant, leggenda del basket, morto ieri sera a 41 anni per un incidente in elicottero. Lo Staple Center di Los Angeles era stato teatro delle gesta in NBA di Kobe con i suoi Los Angeles Lakers e a lui Lizzo ha dedicato l’intera cerimonia: “Questa notte è per Kobe”, sono state le sue parole. A ciò è seguito un minuto di silenzio.

Alicia Keys ha definito Kobe-Black Mamba “un eroe” e gli ha dedicato It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye to Yesterday insieme ai Boys Two Men.

Billie si è presentata sul palco con l’inseparabile fratello Finneas e ha ricordato come tutto sia iniziato nella loro cameretta.

Tra i vincitori anche Tyler, The Creator, Anderson .Paak, The Chemical Brothers, Vampire Weekend.
